Based on this, the authors take a look at the foundations, principles, opportunities and challenges of participatory research in the context of social gerontology and health sciences. Based on a project with two case studies in the field of participatory health research, they shed light on the methodological and practical implementation of joint research processes with older people and other municipal actors. The book also encourages reflection on the limits and possibilities of participatory research with older people.
